Carolyn Comitta is a former two-term mayor of West Chester and is an incumbent candidate for her House seat. She has a broad knowledge of public policy, legislative issues and service, and currently serves on numerous committees including the Environmental Resources & Energy committee. She was also appointed to the PA Women’s Commission by Gov. Wolf.
After teaching for 11 years, Carolyn and her husband Tom opened their town planning and landscape architecture business. It was important for them to become active in their community.
Since taking on the State Rep role, Carolyn has been focused on common sense gun legislation, having been a champion for gun safety laws for decades, and has seen the need to enhance Pennsylvania laws. She’s also fighting for pipeline regulations that put people’s health and safety first, more money for schools, and continuing to protect women’s reproductive choices and rights.
