We hosted Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) for a luncheon on September 18 in Philadelphia.
Senator Stabenow made history in 2000 when she became the first woman from Michigan elected to the Senate. Since taking office, she has assumed top leadership positions in the Senate Democratic Caucus, as Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
Outside of her legislative capacity, Senator Stabenow has been a strong advocate and supporter of women running for office, working actively with organizations across the country to encourage more women to run.
She shared with us that the greatest investment we can make is in women running for office. And we could not agree more.
