- Representative for HD-191 (Delaware & Philadelphia Counties) since 2015 and Speaker of the PA House since February of 2023, the first Black legislator and first woman elected to this position
- Former Assistant Public Defender and Chief Counsel to State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams
- Member of the Election Law Advisory Board, a bipartisan group dedicated to making elections more fair, secure, and accessible
- Lead sponsor of the K. Leroy Irvis Voting Rights Protection Act, a comprehensive voting reform bill supporting local election offices and strengthening election security

Meet Rep. Maureen Madden (HD-115, Monroe County)
- Representative of HD-115 (Monroe County) since 2016 when she flipped her district from a Republican incumbent
- A former educator at East Stroudsburg University, where she saw the negative impacts of state budget cuts to education
- Secretary of the State Government Committee, where she chairs the Subcommittee on Campaign Finance & Elections
- An outspoken supporter of campaign finance reform who believes in getting corporate money out of Pennsylvania state politics
