Represent PA congratulates 23 women on winning their state races

PHILADELPHIA, November 7, 2018 – As record numbers of women ran for state races across Pennsylvania, Represent PA, the only organization in Pennsylvania focused on investing in Democratic women candidates for the Pennsylvania General Assembly, congratulates 23 of its endorsed candidates on their hard-fought and well-deserved victories, contributing half of PA’s total of 18 flipped seats in the General Assembly.

“By raising over $200,000, Represent PA was able to support many women candidates – bakers, electricians, grandmothers and lawyers – all aligned in their progressive values to serve their communities and represent the interests of their constituents,” said Christine Jacobs, Executive Director of Represent PA. “This state faces a number of big issues related to education, the environment, criminal justice reform and public health, and these women have a big task in front of them. But we supported them because we have confidence in them and their demonstrated hard work. Holding each of them accountable in the name of progress, is our next task.”
